Marsur Rock
resembling the famous Trolltunga Rock of Norway, is located in the nearby village of Hussainabad, Skardu. The distance from Skardu to Hussainabad is about 3 kilometers, and from Hussainabad to Upper Hussainabad (Hussainabad Broq) it is another 5 kilometers, which can easily be reached by car. From Upper Hussainabad, it takes about 1 to 2 hours of hiking to reach Marsur Rock.
In the Balti language, Marsur is called "Hiltasi Phong," where "Hiltasi" means a viewpoint and "Phong" refers to a large rock. This stunning spot is situated at an altitude of 12,327.10 feet above sea level in the Himalayan mountain range
Marsur Rock itself is 38 feet long, with approximately 25 feet suspended in the air and only 13 feet resting on the ground. Its width is about 15 feet on the side touching the ground, narrowing down to just 2.5 feet at the other end, making it an incredible natural wonder.
